Leisa Way & The Wayward Wind Band

Over the past 14 years, Leisa Way and her Wayward Wind Band have created and produced twelve hugely successful concerts that have performed to sold-out audiences at over 80 theatres across North America. Leisa Way and her musicians deliver a concert experience like no other offered in Canada and are extremely proud of their reputation for delivering to Presenters the highest calibre of entertainment with superb musicianship. These singers and musicians are among the best in the world, playing 16 stringed instruments that thrill audiences. Audiences are on their feet cheering at the end of each and every performance. Presenters agree that Leisa Way & The Wayward Wind Band concerts are a cut about the rest, telling fascinating stories, with warmth and humour, while celebrating the music of legendary artists.

Leisa Way (lead vocals, concert creator) has performed as a solo artist for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and the Royal Family three times. Her early career took her to over 60 countries in the world sharing the stage with Colm Wilkinson, Long John Baldry, Cathy Rigby, The Canadian Tenors, Florence Henderson & The Amazing Kreskin, to name a few. But her favourite time is now - touring with her amazing band. In 2017, they performed a 42-city tour across Canada, with their Canada 150 concert. Leisa is extremely proud of her reputation with presenters. Her singers/musicians are among the best in the world, playing 16 stringed instruments. These unique concerts tell fascinating stories with warmth and humour, while celebrating music history and legendary artists. But most special is the warm bond and friendship Leisa and the fellas are able to create with an audience. Audiences are on their feet cheering at the end of each and every performance.

Band members:
Fred Smith (lead vocals, guitars, banjo, harmonica. mandolin) has backed up the likes of Chuck Berry, The Mamas & The Papas, The Supremes, The Drifters, Peter Noone, The Platters, Spencer Davis, etc. Fred owns his own recording studio and enjoys working with award-winning actors in post-production for TV and film, including Orphan Black and House of Cards.

Bruce Ley (lead vocals, piano, guitars) was the pianist on The Ronnie Prophet Show & Tommy Hunter Show for 15 years altogether; he composed the music for The Painted Door, a film that was nominated for an Academy Award; as well as music for Sesame Street & Polka Dot Door, and is a member of the award winning blues band, Trouble & Strife

Bobby Prochaska (lead vocals & Bass) A fine musician and actor, Bobby's theatre roles have taken him to Broadway and across North America in shows such as Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, Crazy For You & Jolson.

Nathan Smith OR Liam Collins (depending on the concert you choose)

Nathan Smith (lead vocals, fiddle, mandolin, guitar) a versatile performer who is equally at home playing with the Ottawa Symphony, or accompanying a variety of artists in the folk and bluegrass genre. Toured internationally with Hard Ryde, and is currently touring his own bluegrass band, The Barrel Boys

Liam Collins (lead vocals, guitar, synth) is a musician who, since graduating in early 2018 in computer sciences, turned his focus to pursuing acting and music as a career. This past year he starred in a Norm Foster comedy in Alberta, and debuted two new concerts with Leisa and her band (Liam is an incredible Elvis in Rock n' Roll is Here to Stay). He is also in the process of producing an original album to be released in 2020. Liam is positively elated to join Leisa and the band in entertaining you!

Don Reid (vocals, drums, percussion) has toured from Newfoundland to Los Angeles, with many orchestras and shows, and has produced musical scores for video, radio and television. He is music director at his church, and a certified reflexologist.
